Vietnam War veterans (Served between February 28, 1961, & May 7, 1975)
Applicants are placed on the waiting list in the order that they are received. Priority is given to WWII and Korean War veterans. Veterans with a life-limiting illness are given priority consideration.
Rio Grande Honor Flight encourages you to apply and spread the word among your friends and family. We are always looking for new veterans we can honor with a trip to see their memorials. And—we always need guardians to help ensure that the trip is a smashing success.
Guardians
Spouses are Not eligible to serve as a Family Guardian.
Rio Grande Honor Flight relies on guardians to ensure a safe and memorable experience for our veterans. Guardians assist with luggage, wheelchairs, and meals, and must be healthy and self-sufficient due to the physical demands. Veterans travel free, while guardians volunteer and cover their own expenses.
